I wasn't going to do Yuletide this year. I wasn't! But those prompt bunnies were strong and had long teeth. And I've never had less than an excellent gift fic :) Now, mostly waffling on my offers: it's between the usual suspects and then the sudden cravings that were brought on by the trickling DYW letters.

What do you think of this year's tag set? I'm excited that Rivers of London, Miss Fisher's, Mad Max, and Jupiter Ascending are going strong. Adding The Librarians S1 (only available as streaming, whyyy), the Raven Cycle, and The Martian to the pile of things I need to have in my life. And I've been meaning to read the actual Eagle (of the Ninth) books, so maybe next Yuletide for some Happy Gay Roman Farmers.

• 21 Jump Street:

• Addams Family:
Secret Feminine Cabal | Gomez Addams/Morticia Addams by fresne.
Morticia Addams does feminism. Addams Family is easily one of my fave Yuletide fandoms because it keeps on giving.

• Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot
The Affair of the Private Affairs of Miss Lemon | the usual suspects by cimorene.
Hastings has some belated revelations about the private affairs of Miss Lemon. And of Hercule Poirot. --- This is delightful. Such a brilliant Christie hommage.

• The Eagle | The Eagle of the Ninth
Peace | Marcus/Esca gen by aramley
Happy Gay Farmers! Subtle relationships, scenery porn, domesticity.

• Edge of Tomorrow
to every woman a happy ending | Rita Vrataski/William Cage by betony.
I can't ever get enough of cosmic horror and it's beautifully done here.

• Girl with a Pearl Earring
harvest | post-canon Griet gen by tree.
"The first colours arrived three weeks after my wedding."

• Flavia de Luce series by Alan Bradley:
Ad Lucem | Haviland/Dogger by Nary.
I had no idea I needed this rarepair in my life; so in character, so comforting.

• Kings:
You're My Duct Tape (I'm Your Faulty Hose) | Jack/David banter by misura.
Flirting - so irreverent and unexpected, and a little silly, and hits the right spot. I absolutely adore this.

• Penny Dreadful:
All the Sins You Never Had the Courage to Commit | Dorian/Ethan by notkingyet
What ~really happened after the fade to black. A perfect Dorian - also, I love it when the portrait makes a cameo.

• Revenge:
Social Capital | Emily/Nolan by smilebackwards.
How the series should have ended! Didn't know they were dating, short and sweet.

• Rivers of London:

"When Harry Potter found out that magic was real, there was a cuddly giant with an umbrella wand. And a birthday cake. When Lesley May found out that magic was real, there was a series of gruesome murders. And a dead baby. Screw Harry Potter, to be honest." --- Lesley is my favorite and this is the world of Folly through her eyes.
- the cartographer tries to map a course | Abigail gen by eudaimon.
"Wizarding was never going to be the thing for her - the world was just too wide."

• Rosemary & Thyme:
Four Times Things Were Not What They Seemed | Rosemary Boxer/Laura Thyme by ijemanja.
Tropes and things that are perfect for this tiny fandom for two gardening lady sleuths! Less fluffy than you would expect.

• The Talented Mr Ripley:
Sleeper | Tom Ripley/Peter Smith-Kingsley by eyebrowofdoom.
Canon divergence for the ending. While the relationship is more from the movieverse, this Tom is so unerringly Highsmith - ambiguous and anxious. I really, really loved it.
